I stayed at this hotel mainly because of its convenient location next to the bus terminal and it definitely met my needs for a quick overnight stay. The room was spacious and clean, but the overall vibe felt a bit dated and noisy due to its surroundings. The staff were lovely and made me feel welcome, even if the dining options could use some improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious with two double beds and a clean private bathroom, but they felt more like giant bathrooms due to the tiled design and had a faint smell of smoke.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made my stay pleasant despite the basic facilities.
Location
7.0
The location is right in the busy center and next to the ADO bus terminal, making it extremely convenient for travel, but it can get quite noisy at night.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was underwhelming, consisting of a few pieces of bread and limited options, which didn't quite satisfy.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic but functional; however, improvements could certainly be made.

5.8/10

During my stay, I found some charm in the hospitality of the staff, particularly Bertha, who truly made me feel welcomed. The room itself was basic and lacked certain comforts like drawers and proper windows. While the location is quite central, it was a bit noisy, and the breakfast options could use some serious improvement. Overall, you might appreciate the personal service, but I would recommend managing your expectations regarding accommodations.

Rooms
5.0
My room was basic and clean but lacked charm with no real windows and some outdated features. It felt very minimalistic, and I even noticed a dead cockroach in the hallway.
Service
8.0
The service was warm and inviting, with Bertha making me feel like an old friend during my stay.
Location
7.0
Located right in the busy center of Chetumal, it's convenient if you need to access the bus terminal, although the constant noise was a drawback.
Dining

Breakfast included limited options such as hard bread and warm juice, which was rather disappointing.
Facilities

The amenities were quite basic, with nothing that stood out significantly.

This hotel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere thanks to the lovely owner, Bertha, and her friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and clean, but a bit basic in terms of amenities. The location is excellent, close to museums and markets, making it easy to explore the area. Unfortunately, the dining options for breakfast could use some improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The room was big and inviting, though a bit basic without many amenities. It was clean and had an efficient air conditioning unit. The swan towels were a nice touch!
Service
9.0
The service was warm and personal, especially from Bertha, who made me feel like a friend. Staff were eager to help and provided great dining recommendations.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Chetumal, making it easy to visit the local museum and market. It’s also only a short drive to the beautiful Bacalar lagoon.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a bit lacking, consisting mainly of hard bread and limited spreads, but the dinner I had at the hotel café was quite good.
Facilities

While this hotel may not have many facilities, the clean and basic rooms paired with the lovely atmosphere make it a good value.

I had a really nice stay at Hotel Real Azteca in Chetumal. It's right in the center and super convenient for exploring the town, especially with the museum just next door. The hospitality from Bertha, the owner, really stood out; she made me feel like I was among friends. The rooms were clean but basic, which was fine for my short stay. The dining experience was decent but could be improved with more variety. Overall, it's great value for the price I paid.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and clean, equipped with two double beds, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. However, it lacked certain amenities like bedside tables and had peculiar window screens that limited the view.
Service
10.0
Bertha and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helped me feel at home right away. They went out of their way to assist with local recommendations.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located just a few steps from the museum and market, making it very easy to explore Chetumal on foot. However, it does get noisy due to the nearby bus station.
Dining

The food was decent but quite basic, primarily a limited selection for breakfast. Still, it was good value, especially with the option to pre-order meals for just 35 pesos.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has a cozy café on-site and offers good air conditioning in the rooms, but there are no additional amenities like a pool or gym.

I had a basic stay at this hotel. It served its purpose for a quick overnight stopover with clean accommodations and a welcoming reception. However, the dining options were quite limited, and the location didn't offer much in terms of activities, so it might not be ideal for longer stays.

Rooms
6.0
The room was basic with two double beds and a clean bathroom, but nothing fancy. It was adequate for a night.
Service
8.0
The reception staff was welcoming and helpful, answering all of my questions and giving a voucher for free coffee.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and a few minutes from the town market and bus station, making it easy to get around.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite basic, consisting mainly of bread, butter, jam, and coffee, which left much to be desired.
